It was to difficult racing for me, because I didn't ride my pace. I rode about 6th place, less than I wanted to. I got the same number as last year, I just tried to do my best.

After a month-long break since the opening round at Phillip Island in Australia, the 2012 World Superbike Championship returns to action this weekend (31 March – 1 April) for round two at Italy’s historic Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.
Honda World Superbike Team riders Jonathan Rea and Hiroshi Aoyama will approach Imola from different starting points – Rea having won at the 4.933km circuit near Bologna last September, Aoyama having never raced there.
Rea’s victory in race one last season marked a spectacular return after a three-month layoff through a wrist injury sustained at Misano. His win also represented the debut of the team’s ride-by-wire throttle management system for its Honda CBR1000RR Fireblades.
After finishing seventh and fourth in last month’s opening races, Rea will be hoping to get back to podium ways this weekend at Imola to give his 2012 championship a boost.
For Aoyama, Imola represents the first of seven new circuits that the 30-year-old Japanese ace must learn in his debut SBK season. After a steady build-up to qualifying in Australia, Aoyama showed his true racing spirit by taking two solid top-ten finishes after starting from 16th place on the Phillip Island grid.
The Honda World Superbike Team is offering a very special opportunity to Honda race fans for the Imola event by building a special viewing gallery in the pit box. Any owner of a Honda motorcycle or scooter who has paddock access can visit the team’s box and see the riders and technicians at work during practice and qualifying.
Honda owners simply have to show their vehicle registration certificate, either at the garage door or at the ‘Honda In The City’ unit in Imola’s SBK Village, where they will receive a special team wristband to access this unique viewing opportunity.

I can’t tell you how excited I am at the prospect of riding my bike again this weekend. It seems like a lifetime since the opening round in Phillip Island so I’m raring to go again at Imola. I love racing in Italy – the food, the culture, everything about it is special – and Imola has some pretty special memories for me, especially winning last year after a long injury lay-off. That was the first time we rolled out on the ride-by-wire system last year and we’ve done a lot of work on it since then, so it’ll be really interesting to benchmark where we are against our performance last season. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and a lot of research since Phillip Island and I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into practice this weekend.
Hiroshi Aoyama
Of course, Imola is a new circuit for me but I am looking forward to riding there very much. I have looked at a lot of videos from Formula 1 and World Superbike races and I can see a lot of very fast corners. It looks like a great track to ride on and with all its history it will be a very special weekend for me. I learned a lot about the championship in the first round at Phillip Island and I know now that the gap from the front is not so great and a small improvement can give you a big jump forward. I still have a lot to learn with the bike and the tyres, but the team was working very well at Phillip Island and we made some good progress. I hope to continue that at Imola this weekend.

Imola brought us a breakthrough last year with Jonathan’s return from injury and a new electronics package enabling us to fight once more for wins and podiums, so, of course, it holds special memories for us and we’re happy to be back again so soon. On the other hand, it’s another circuit and another race weekend, and it would be foolish to rely on past results, so we’ll take nothing for granted. It’s been a long break since the first round at Phillip Island where I believe we probably made too many changes to the bike and lost our rhythm a little. We’ll slow down a little and develop our racecraft this weekend to try and get the results that we all want. Of course, it’s Hiroshi-san’s first visit to Imola but we know that he’s been studying a lot of old footage. We’ll aim to combine that with some of Jonathan’s data to start the ball rolling on Friday and try to have him near the front in time for Sunday’s races.

Honda Gresini Unveils 2012 MotoGP Livery
As the 2012 MotoGP season nears, more and more teams are unveiling their livery, the latest coming from Team San Carlo Honda Gresini.
The team unveiled its Honda RC213V that will be ridden by newly-signed Alvaro Bautista, Michele Pirro aboard the Honda CBR1000RR-powered FTR in the new CRT class, and Niccolo Antonelli Honda NSF250R in Moto3 at the Milan Polytechnic.
It is an ambitious joint program that the team have labelled “Technology and Passion,” as Alberto Vitaloni and Fausto Gresini continue their wonderful adventure together with their own brand of dynamism and enthusiasm, based around the fundamentals of the present and the future of motorcycle racing.
At the end of a long day, the students of the Milan Polytechnic were able to meet the team in the true spirit of their “Technology and Passion” motto.
Alberto Vitaloni says: “Technology and Passion is a perfect combination that continues to drive forward our project together with Team Gresini. A new season starts right here in the Milan Polytechnic and we are proud to be continuing with a project that has already provided us with so much excitement over the past few years. We were determined to continue in the name of Marco (Simoncelli) because we are sure that this is what he would want and I hope the choice we have made continues to bring great success.”
Fausto Gresini says: “It has been a fantastic and emotional day. We start out with renewed enthusiasm as we continue our search for the best combination of “Technology and Passion.” It gives us great pride to have a partner like San Carlo and the energy that President Alberto Vitaloni transmits to all of us is key.
“We have put together an international line-up for 2012 with Alvaro Bautista in MotoGP alongside Michele Pirro on the CRT bike, with Niccolò Antonelli debuting in Moto3 and both Gino Rea and Rattapark Wilairot joining the team in Moto2. There was a great atmosphere here with the students from the Milan Polytechnic and I can say that we have started out on the right foot. Now we travel with confidence to the first race of the season in Qatar on Sunday April 8.”
Alvaro Bautista says: “I am really happy to be here in Milan for the presentation of Team San Carlo Honda Gresini. This is the start of a new adventure for me and I think everything is in place to have a good season. I came home from Sepang feeling satisfied because we had a very positive test and now we go to Jerez to put the finishing touches to our preseason work and try to get even more comfortable and confident on the Honda RC213V.”
Michele Pirro says: “Finally I have got my hands on my bike! It looks great and I can’t wait to ride it. I am sure the team have done a good job on it and I am confident about the challenge ahead. It won’t be easy at the start but along with the guys we will be trying our hardest to get some positive results.”
Niccolo Antonelli says: “Everything is completely new for me and it has been exciting to enjoy the atmosphere of a big team presentation like this. Being with Alvaro and Michele has given me a flavour of the World Championship and they have wished me well for the new season. I have already found a good feeling with the Moto3 bike and we will try to improve it further in the upcoming test at Jerez.”

a long time ago i was with a club a bike club and the president of the club wanted too send a group of riders to Europe for a chance to be in the big tour(tour De France) he was willing to market his riders for what so ever the cost will be a unknown company man was so interested in the group and he was a very decent bike rider him self he had lots of capital in back of him but still a not a well known rider,one day he had his people investigate where the riders do there rides so he can hop in and meet the group to sure them that they can do the job,unknownly that the group was under a watchfull eye.so he went out and try to talk and have some type discussion with the group,the group disrespect him tell him that he really didn't know of anything of group rides and the man was so confuse where he (the president of the club) stated that the group of riders was a profesional base and was a embassedor to the federation,he treid again to make the group but one rider willing went out and spoiled the fun(had a bad taste to his mouth)so he went crippling home and thought what the president said so he went out and gave an appointment to the president to come and talk tothe future of the groupthat he would sponcer the group for Europeand future ernings for the team.the discussion was plesent at the time until he mention his ride experience.he told him what happen on the road,and sure enough that the company man can't come up with the goods to provide any sponcership for the team,he simply apoligize to the president and told him to enjoy the meal,as the president fell to disgrace of the team members action he excuse himself with disapointment and embarressment for the team,the fallowing month when they had a team meeting he explained what happen to the trip to Europe and he told all members that you have to be embassedor to all that meets you no matter who comes to you.

Jessica, congratulations on your 2010 AMA Women's National MX Championship. You walked away with some amazing trophies from this summer's race wins .... where do you put all those great awards, and what does it mean to you when you see them?
Thanks Annj. I usually go straight to my parents house and drop them all off and let my mom decorate the house with them. But recently she told me that I have started to bring home too many, and to figure out where to put them at my place because her place is now full.
Her suggestion to me was to rent a storage unit if I didn’t want to keep them all over the house. They are all just hanging out at her house right now, and eventually when I decide where I want to move, then I will take them with me and start the decorating.
To see the trophies is pretty cool. It is what I have been working so hard for, and after struggling for for two years and now coming back and winning the championship in 2010, it makes it that much better. Seeing that I have all those number 1 trophies from each race except for two, it reminds me of how good of a year it really was, so it makes me really happy and makes me want to keep pushing.

100%… It is how I try to live my life.
In 1982, I got a phone call from a guy I knew at the races. His name was Drew Lien. The conversation went like this:

From that point on 100% has been my life motto. I am giving 100% in whatever I do. Truck racing, coaching, working or loving my family. Win or lose. Happy or sad.
If I am giving 100%, I can go to sleep KNOWING I have done my best.

RJ Says video blog - message for Chad Reed
You probably know of Chad Reed. He's originally from Australia, but has raced primarily here in the USA for over 10 years. He won the 2004 AMA Supercross Series Championship, the 2008 AMA Supercross Series Championship, and the 2009 AMA National Motocross Championship. And before all that, he raced in the World MX GP's.

The following are a few pics of my work-in-progress on a 1954 Ford F600 Ramp Truck. This project started from a glue-bomb 1/25 AMT '54 Ford pickup that I received in a trade a few years ago. I started by tearing everything apart to see what could be salvaged, then making my plan to convert it into a weathered and worn race car hauling ramptruck.

Dorna and MSMA Swap Proposals At Jerez For 2013: One Bike Per Rider, Price Cap on Satellite Bikes, Limits
Talks are continuing at Jerez over the future of MotoGP, with the focus on how to reduce costs for a sustainable championship. After the proposals that Dorna presented to the factories at Sepang, with measures including a rev limit and a standard ECU, it was the turn of the factories to come with their counterproposals to make the championship affordable.
In an interview with the official MotoGP.com website, Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta set out the proposals discussed. The measures under consideration included the introduction of a single-bike rule, just as there is in the Moto2 and Moto3 championships, as well as in World Superbikes and World Supersport, where each rider would be allowed to have just one bike scrutineered and approved for riding at a time. In addition, a limit on the number of mechanics each team would be allowed to have present could also be introduced, in an effort to cut wage, travel and accommodation costs for the teams. A proposal was also put forward to limit each factory participating to just two factory riders and two satellite riders, meaning that the situation as it is at the moment, with four Hondas, four Yamahas and four Ducatis could continue into the future.

Manufacturer Ducati is still not ready to launch new products in 2012 MotoGP
Beritai.com – the latest news from the 2012 MotoGP race which we summarized from a variety of media, said ahead of the Ducati MotoGP season this year it has not been able to provide Ducati GP 12 new specifications for both their satellite team rider, Hector Barbera and Karel Abraham.
Technical Director Filippo Preziosi as Ducati Motorcycle GP explained that the new 12 will be given prior to their factory team rider is Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden. The possibility of a new Ducati motorcycle capable of supplying the latest specification for satellite team in MotoGP fifth series.
Latest 12 Ducati GP will have differences with the version used by Barbera and Abraham. Preziosi explained that the position of the Ducati GP 12 new version will have a change from the old version to help anticipate the symptoms of understeer (hard deflected) and also the lack of traction on the front of the motor. Changes are made on the input of Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden are difficult to tame the Ducati when cornering. Motor GP 12 new version also will have a frame with a twin spar aluminum models used by manufacturers such as Yamaha or Honda. Aluminum frame itself has begun to be researched in September of 2011.
Barbera is currently still the fastest Ducati rider on the record while testing in Sepang, he did not know Ducati plans to provide the motor with the latest specifications for all riders.
