Need Airbrushing Enamel tips

I'm working on a '70 Boss 302.  I'm going to paint it Grabber Blue, using model master enamel paint from a jar.  I'm comfortable using my airbrush and can lay down a nice paint job, but I've never done a body in enamel.  I've only used lacquer for bodies.  I have a few questions and just need some quick answers.

1) Is tamiya white or grey primer ok as a base?

2) Do I thin the enamel the same as I do other paints?

3) Here is the big question, Do I apply thin coats as I would lacquer and build up layers, or do I apply one decent medium coat, and let the enamel level out?  Also, If I apply several layers, how long do I wait in between layers?

4) I think this is the last for now, what is a good pressure to start at?

Thank you in advance for any advice to the questions.  I'm really looking foward to this build and dont want to mess up the paint.  I'm also excited at the same time to try an enamel finish.
