Thomas Luthi ended the second session of free practice for the Moto2 class at Barcelona where he left off the first: at the top of the timesheets, with a comfortable lead. Despite a crash towards the end of the session, the Interwetten Paddock rider finished FP2 four tenths faster than the man in 2nd place, Marc VDS Racing's Scott Redding. The HP Pons Kalex of Pol Espargaro took 3rd spot, another four tenths behind Redding and at the head of a gaggle of close riders, with Andrea Iannone in 4th, Alex de Angelis in 5th and Takaaki Nakagami in 6th spot.
